Recent Reads

The Tragedy of Puddn'head Williams... Highly amusing book. But yet not amusing. I read it on an impulse when I was searching titles on Gutenburg. I had never heard of it before but since I've read other books by Mark Twain the title caught my attention; I read the entire book in one evening. There were no major surprises or great emotional scenes but I appreciate the easy-going and steady attitude of the book that still gets the reader deeply interested with the characters.

Michael O'Halloran... It's long been one of my favorite books. My wish is that I could somehow get the message of the book across to Congress. Pity we can't get Mickey to run for president. But alas, Mickey is fictional. Like i was saying... good book. Because of the fact that i like the plot so much, i don't think i can judge on the actual composition and grammar.

I am reading alot more books than just what i'm posting on here, but i'm only posting the titles when i actually have something to say about them. I'm reading so much that sometimes i think my head will spin in circles, gradually increasing in speed, until, that fateful moment arrives, when i'm turned into a human helicopter. Since the first of February, I've read 4 books, plus being in the middle of reading at least 3 others. One of which is Oliver Twist... I am keeping a complete list of every book i read this year, along with the date i finished it. Whether or not i'll ever make this list public depends on my mood at the end of the year.
And now, i leave you. Farewell until the next post graces my 'umble little page. In the mean time, a quote from Mickey ( AKA Micheal O'Halloran) "S'pose you do own a grouch, what's the use of displaying it in your show window? Those things are dangerous. They're contagious. Seeing a fellow on the street looking like he'd never smile again, makes other folks think of their woes, and pretty soon everybody gets sorry for themselves. I'd like to see the whole world happy."
