Hope

Today, September the 10th, is World Suicide Prevention Day. Suicide isn't an easy subject to talk about. Death never is, especially when it's intentional. People around the world today are trying to show their support in ending these deaths by wearing yellow, or placing a lit candle near a window at 8 PM. I'm not sure what either of these have to do with preventing suicide. But i'm planning to do both. I had forgotten about wearing yellow until today, when I realized that I don't normally wear yellow. But i'm now sporting yellow ribbon on my hands. It's a beautiful color really; bright and hopeful. Maybe that's why yellow is the color for today. Ask a friend if they're okay. It might mean more than you'll ever know.

RIP, Jerry.
